Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a professional interior designer
No. I am a curious home lover who shares what I enjoy, what I plan to try, and what I have already tested in my own rooms. I write from experience and research, not from a license or certification.
Can I copy a look from your photos exactly
You are welcome to use my ideas as a starting point, but every home is different. Light, layout, climate, and daily habits shape results. I explain why something worked for me so you can adapt it to your space rather than copy it line for line.
Do you make money from the site
Sometimes. I use affiliate links and occasional sponsorships to support the cost of running the blog. If a post contains affiliate links, I say so near the top. Sponsored pieces are labeled clearly and I keep full editorial control. Your price does not change when you use an affiliate link.
How do you choose products to recommend
I choose items based on materials, build quality, maker reputation, and design fit with my style. If I have used a product, I say so and share pros and cons. If I have not used it yet, I explain why it still made the list and what I will be watching for if I test it later.
Will ideas here work outside the United States
My sources focus on the United States and availability may vary elsewhere. If a specific item is not available in your region, use the notes about materials, finishes, and proportions to find a local alternative with the same spirit.
Can you share exact paint colors and finishes
Yes, when I have them. I also give lighting notes and compare similar shades, because color shifts with daylight and bulbs. Always sample paint on your own walls in at least two spots and check it morning, afternoon, and evening before committing.
Are the plants and care tips beginner friendly
I favor hardy, forgiving varieties and simple routines that fit a busy life. I also mention light preferences and basic care. For rare plants or special conditions, I recommend consulting a local nursery for climate specific advice.
Do you accept gifted items or loans
Sometimes. Gifts and loans do not guarantee coverage or a positive review. I label gifted items and loans inside the post and return loans on request. I only feature pieces that fit my taste and standards.
Can I use your photos or text on my site or social media
Please link to the original post rather than reposting full articles or galleries. For any other use, ask first at editorial@nevixon.com. I am happy to grant permission for reasonable requests, press roundups, and classroom use with proper credit.
Do you offer design services or one on one consultations
Not at this time. My energy goes into creating free resources for the blog and newsletter. If you need professional design, I suggest hiring a licensed local designer who can visit your space and tailor a plan.
How do you handle corrections or updates
If something is wrong, I fix it. For meaningful changes, I add a short editor note with the date. Prices and availability change often, so I refresh links and include similar alternatives when an item sells out.
How do I subscribe to your newsletter and what will I receive
You can sign up on the Newsletter page. I send notes with new posts, seasonal checklists, and small experiments you can try in an evening. Every email includes an easy unsubscribe link and I do not sell or rent your address.
Do you accept guest posts or brand pitches
I rarely publish guest posts. For brand partnerships that align with my aesthetic and values, email partnerships@nevixon.com. Please include timelines, deliverables, and whether the project involves product, payment, or both.
What tools and finishes do you use most often
I lean on simple, reliable basics. Natural fibers like linen and wool, wood finishes that age well, limewash or matte walls for quiet texture, and small doses of iron or stone to ground sweetness. I note exact products when helpful and always encourage testing at home before committing.
Is your content suitable for renters and small spaces
Yes. I focus on reversible changes, proportion tricks, lighting, textiles, and plant styling that do not require construction. When a project needs a drill or hardware, I offer renter friendly alternatives.
Can I request a specific topic or room challenge
I would love that. Send your idea to hello@nevixon.com with a short description and a photo if you are comfortable. I cannot answer every request, but reader questions often become new posts or newsletter tips.
What is your comment policy
Kindness first. I moderate for civility, clarity, and relevance. I remove spam, harassment, or misinformation. Full expectations live on the Community Guidelines page.
How can I contact you for permissions, press, or legal questions
For permissions and editorial requests, write to editorial@nevixon.com. For press or legal matters, contact legal@nevixon.com. For everything else, hello@nevixon.com is the fastest path.
Do you sell products directly
No. When I link to retailers, I am pointing you to external shops. Any orders, returns, or warranties are handled by the retailer according to their policies. Always review their terms before purchasing.
