I care deeply about giving proper credit to the work that inspires me and to the people who create it. This page explains how I credit images on nevixon.com and on my social channels, how I handle permissions, and how you can request changes or removals when something needs attention.
What I Publish
I publish my own photography, collaborative images created with partners, and select third party visuals that help explain a design idea. When a photo comes from a brand, a maker, a photographer, a publication, or an archival source, I provide a visible credit and a link to the original page whenever possible.
How I Credit
I include the creator’s name and a link to the original source when I know it. If the image was supplied through a press kit or media library, I reference the brand or agency and follow their usage terms. If I discovered an image through Pinterest or another aggregator, I follow the trail to the earliest reliable source before pinning or posting. When a direct source is unclear, I say so, continue searching, and update the page as soon as I verify the right credit.
Permissions and Fair Use
I request permission for images that require it and I respect the licensing terms provided by rights holders. I rely on fair use only in limited, transformative contexts such as commentary, critique, or education, and I include clear attribution in those cases. I do not claim ownership of any third party imagery and I do not sell or redistribute it. If you would like me to license one of my images for your publication or campaign, write to permissions@nevixon.com and I will share options and rates.
Editing and Image Integrity
I lightly edit images for color accuracy, exposure, cropping, and accessibility. I sometimes use professional editing software and carefully selected artificial intelligence tools to improve clarity, reduce noise, balance lighting, or generate alt text prompts that I review before publishing.
Accessibility
I add descriptive alt text to my original images and to third party visuals when usage terms allow. My goal is to make the content readable with screen readers and useful to visitors who prefer low bandwidth or text only browsing. If you notice missing or unhelpful alt text, email editorial@nevixon.com and I will correct it.
Pinterest and Social
My Pinterest boards serve as an index of moods and materials that inform my work. Each pin links back to its proper source when I can verify it. On Instagram and other platforms I include credits in captions or slides and I tag creators when handles are known. If a platform truncates captions, the full credit still appears on the related blog post.
Using My Images
You are welcome to link to my posts and share a single image with clear credit and a link back to the original article for noncommercial coverage like press roundups, student projects, or personal moodboards. Republishing full galleries, creating derivative products, or using my photos in advertising, print, or product listings requires written permission. For licensing inquiries, email permissions@nevixon.com.
Availability and Updates
Sources, licenses, and platform rules change over time. I review older posts and refresh credits when I find better information. When I make a significant correction, I add a short note with the date so readers understand what changed. This policy will evolve as I refine my workflow and adopt new accessibility and attribution standards.
